1. Introduction
Welcome to Divine Christian Matrimony.
Divine Christian Matrimony (“us”, “we”, or “our”) is a matrimony service based in Thrissur, Kerala. This Privacy Policy governs your use of the Divine Christian Matrimony web and mobile application (the “App”) and our website, and explains how we collect, safeguard and disclose information that results from your use of the Service.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined here, the terms used have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what a matrimony match needs.
Account details — your name, email address, mobile number and password.
Profile details — date of birth, gender, height, marital status, denomination, rite, diocese, parish, education, profession, income range, location, family background, partner preferences and the photographs you upload.
Verification documents — a government ID you submit for the verified badge. These are reviewed by our team and stored encrypted; they are never shown on your profile.
Usage data — pages viewed, interests sent and received, device type, browser and IP address, used to keep the Service secure and to improve match quality.
Payment data — handled entirely by our payment gateway. We store only the plan, the invoice and the last four digits of the instrument; we never see your full card details.
3. How we use your information
We use the information to create and maintain your profile, to show you relevant matches, to send interest and message alerts, to verify members, to detect fraud and misuse, to process payments, and to respond to your support requests. We do not use your data for advertising profiles built by third parties.
4. Who can see your profile
Your profile and photographs are visible only to signed-in members. We instruct search engines not to index member pages. Your mobile number and email are never displayed; they are shared with another member only after you accept their interest, or when you choose to share them.
You may restrict photographs to members you have connected with, or hide your profile entirely, from Settings at any time.
5. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the Service — hosting, SMS and email delivery, and payment processing — under contracts that limit them to that purpose, and with law enforcement where we are legally required to do so.
6. Retention and deletion
We keep your profile for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile and photographs are removed from the Service within 7 days and from our backups within 30 days. Invoices and records we must keep under Indian tax law are retained for the period the law requires.
7. Security
Data is transmitted over TLS and stored encrypted at rest. Passwords are hashed. Access to member data inside our team is limited to staff who need it for verification and support, and every access is logged. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
You may access and correct your details, download a copy of your profile data, withdraw consent for marketing messages, hide your profile, or delete your account. Write to divinechristianmatrimony.admin@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
9. Children
Divine Christian Matrimony is only for adults of legal marriageable age in India — 21 years for men and 18 years for women. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone below that age, and such accounts are removed when found.
10. Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, to remember your search filters, and to measure how the Service is used. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but you will then have to sign in on every visit.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. If the change is material, we will notify you by email or in the App before it takes effect.
